چکیده

The increasing number of laundry businesses in Pontianak causes increased waste, which is dangerous for health and the environment because anionic surfactants such as Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) are hard degradable. Photocatalyst a method that can be used to degrade LAS structure. TiO2 carried coconut fiber optimize sunlight irradiation degrading content when light reaches water's surface. This study aims determine characteristics optimum activity time photocatalyst TiO2-coconut LAS. characterization was out using XRD, XRF, DR-UV, while test photocatalysts UV-Vis spectrophotometer. XRD diffractogram analysis showed peaks at 2θ = 22.2º, 34.8º 25.3º, 37.8º, 48.1º, 55.1º, 62.1º. attached after being synthesized 21.12%. band gap 3.21 3.18 eV, with absorption 386.5 390.3 nm. mass ratio 20:80; 30:70; 40:60, 50:50 w/w range 0, 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes. results photocatalysis 20:80 photocatalytic minutes highest degradation rate 80.43%. research expected applied an alternative handling industry waste.

Biodegradation of Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) by Immobilized Pseudomonas sp

Anionic surfactants are the most widely exploited chemical surfactants, which are being incorporated into majority of detergents and cleaning products used for household and industrial applications. Linear alkylbenzene sulfonates (LAS) is one of the major xenobiotic anionic surfactants. Biodegradation is an effective process to reduce the amount of surfactants released in the environment. In th...

Biodegradation of linear alkylbenzene sulfonate by a two-member facultative anaerobic bacterial consortium

A bacterial consortium capable of degrading the linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS) was isolated from the wastewater treatment plant. The bacterial consortium consisted of two members, Pantoea agglomerans and Serratia odorifera 2. Cells were grown evenly together in a minimal medium (M9) and nutrient broth (NB). The bacterial consortium was able to grow in the minimal medium containing LAS as t...

The histopathological effects of Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate on the gill, liver and kidney tissues of the Caspian kutum, Rutilus frisii kutum were studied. The fish were exposed to three sublethal concentrations of anionic detergent, Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) for short term intervals (192 h). Gill, liver and kidney samples were collected after 192 h of exposure to LAS and lesions we...

Comparison Between Acidogenic and Methanogenic Inhibition Caused by Linear Alkylbenzene-Sulfonate (LAS)

The anaerobic mixed microbiote may be inhibited through different mechanisms: inhibition by product or substrate, by the physical characteristics of the medium (pH or temperature), and by inhibitory substances, organic or inorganic. Biological activity tests have been the most widely used, of different experimental procedures known, to evaluate the toxicity of various compounds in anaerobic pro...
